“It is all fun and games until someone ends up in a cone”.   We have all heard that saying and if you are a pet owner you have probably had to watch your dog or cat experience life in the cone for a few days. It becomes the “cone of shame” as they walk into walls, can’t eat their food and have trouble sleeping. But we know at the end our pets will be in better shape. We have immortalized the “cone of shame” with our dog and cat cone lamps. A little bit whimsical, this accent light will make you smile.

 Usage

The lamp should only be used indoors and is not suitable for outdoor use.  The lamp is made from a plastic material called PLA. Although the lamp is ready as it is, if you are artistic, you may add your touch with acrylic paints.

 Cord Length

The power cord is 6 feet long from the lamp socket to the wall plug.  The power cord exits the rear of the lamp so the actual length of the power cord from the rear of the lamp will be between 5 feet and 5.5 feet.  The On / Off switch is located 3 feet from the lamp wall plug.  In the event you would prefer that the On / Off switch is located closer to the lamp, the lamp as designed to allow you to push some of the power cord into the lamp to allow the On / Off switch to be closer to the lamp.  This design element provides a neat and tidy appearance.  A cord grip / retainer is located inside each lamp to prevent the user from pulling the cord too far out of the lamp.

 Lamp Shade / Light Intensity

A white lamp shade is included to provide the ‘Cone’ effect when the lamp is off.  When the lamp is on, a warm color is generated as illustrated in the pictures using the provided LED bulb.   This is an accent lamp and is not meant for task lighting.

 Dog Collar

The lamp shade sits down inside the dog collar.  While the lamp shade will remain in place without fasteners, the collar has three screws located around the collar for gripping the lamp shade.  The collar also has a blank bone shaped dog tag connected to a lobster clasp.  You can personalize the lamp by writing your pets name, the name of your significant other or special message using a permanent marker.  You can also replace the included dog tag with one of your own.

 Technical Details:

The lamp is constructed with UL listed components.  The lamp cord with integrated on/off switch and molded plug utilize (2) 18AWG wires and has a rating of 3A/125V. 

An LED S14 bulb with E26 screw base is included.  The bulb draws .5 watts with a lumen rating of 2200K.  When replacing the bulb, only utilize an LED bulb with a maximum equivalent incandescent rating of 40 watts or less.  This translates to approximately 4 Watts.  Do not use incandescent bulbs in the lamp.
